Meet the Chef | Nicole

I've had an appetite for delicious foods since I was young. I was not your typical picky eater who resorted to chicken fingers and french fries for every meal... I was the little girl sitting at the restaurant eating lobster at the age of three! Still not sure why my parents entertained that idea at such a young age, but nevertheless, my appetite for delicious foods expanded and the more curious I became about other cultures and their delicacies.

With curiosity came many exotic adventures. I began to travel the world in my late teens and early twenties with my first international experience to France and Armenia. Let me just say, my taste buds were not disappointed! My palate grew and my desire to meet new people and learn about other cultural foods flourished.

As I learned more and ate throughout my travels, I began to realize how jaded I had grown up. Here I was eating all the foods of the world while children as young as two years old were helping their families in the farms to make sure they had enough food to eat. I felt compelled to help and give back.

During my college years, I volunteered at soup kitchens, handed out meals to people experiencing homelessness in NYC, and sorted food for shelters. I even had the opportunity to travel to Zambia, Africa where I helped local schools and communities. These experiences helped me learn more about global food insecurity and opened the door to a whole new world of change and giving back to my community.

It wasn't until after college that I began making my own handmade products. I first started experimenting with soap after learning about all the "hidden ingredients" in major name brand companies. I've always had temperamental skin. You know... that combo oily/dry skin, where breakouts were definitely going to happen it was just a matter of when. After making my first bar, I noticed a difference in my skin instantly! It began to glow, the same glow you'd get after having one too many glasses of wine.

The next step in my journey was to establish a business that made handmade, all-natural, and cruelty-free products. The idea of creating a brand that wasn't just about products, but about a new lifestyle came to me oddly enough one day while I was showering. I mean, who doesn't love a good shower brainstorm session!? The concept incorporated all three things I love... creativity, giving back, and food!

After several educational courses, perseverance, and a whole lot of wonderful smelling fragrances, I am proud to be able to create a lifestyle where you are able to treat yourself and feel great about doing so!

 Xo,

Nicole
